Chicago: Afro-American Publishing Company, [circa 1965]. First edition of this broadside, issued as part of the series "Negroes in Our History: Afro-Am Portfolio No. 1." The broadside measures 11 by 14 inches. It prints text about the subject by Russell Adams, and is illustrated by noted African-American artist, Eugene Winslow.
Winslow was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, and co-founded The Afro-American Publishing Company.
