    Nitro Tile Expansion Joints
    Product Specification
Made for garages that are experiencing expansion and contraction with our Nitro Tiles
Each order comes with both connector parts, both male and female connections.
    Recommended Uses
Expansion Joints may be needed if your climate experiences large and rapid changes in temperature.
Got buckling issues with your Nitro Tiles? Then you need our Nitro Tile Expansion Joints. The buckling you are experiencing is caused by the heating and cooling of the tiles throughout the day. We typically see the worst buckling with garages that are East, North, or West facing. These joints will help your floor to properly expand and contract no matter how your garage is oriented.
    Material:
Constructed of high quality impact resistant polypropylene (extremely durable hard thermoplastic polymer). This ensures colorfastness, durability, and chemical resistance.
    Size:
    4" x 12" (3-3/4" x 12" without loop)
    Weight:
    ~.30 Lbs
Both Male Pegs & Female Loops
Each order comes with both connector parts, both male and female connections
    Installation Info:
Where to install the expansion joints will depend on how large your garage is. For one car and two car garages, placing the expansion joints in the middle of the floor will be good enough to take care of any buckling issues.
For three car garages, you will want to install the expansion joints in the middle of both the large bay door and the small one. This will help to ensure buckling doesn't transfer throughout the floor.
For large warehouse spaces that experience buckling, you will want to install the expansion joints in a perpendicular pattern in the middle of the floor. You will use our Expansion Intersection Joint to create this effect.
If you have edging at the entrance to your garage or warehouse, you will want to use our Expansion Joint Edges to fill in the space that will not be created when adding the expansion joints.
