VINTAGE CHINESE TRAVEL TEA SET
Extremely RARE a Wonderful Collectible.
Set Contains Tea Pot, 6 Cups & 6 Saucers
Purple Sand Pottery from Yixing in Jiangsu
province, which is often celebrated as the
"Capital of Ceramics" in China.
Type is "duan ni" which means fortified clay.
Yixing  teawares are prized because the
unglazed surface can absorb traces of the
beverage making a more complex flavor.
Never wash with detergents,use only water.
The Dragon motif is decal applied not
hand painted.
Tea Pot is approximately 4" high with lid &
6 1/4" spout to handle. Cups are 1 3/4" high
with 2 3/4" diameter. Saucer diameter is 3 1/2"
All the pieces in this set are in perfect condition,
The Travel Case is damaged, & is repairable
but Please see all the pictures, we have tried
to show the extent of damage.
